<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The TAS Assistant provides technical, operational, and organisational support to ensure practical classes run efficiently and safely.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare ingredients, materials, and equipment for practical Food Technology and Textiles lessons</li> <li>Maintain kitchens, textiles rooms, and equipment to high food safety and WHS standards</li> <li>Manage ordering, purchasing, and stock control for TAS resources</li> <li>Liaise with suppliers and coordinate deliveries</li> <li>Assist teachers and students during practical classes</li> <li>Support Year 12 Design &amp; Technology Major Projects and faculty exhibitions</li> <li>Maintain equipment including sewing machines and kitchen appliances</li> <li>Ensure safe storage, organisation, and maintenance of materials and facilities</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>The successful candidate will demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in food preparation, hospitality, textiles, or practical learning environments</li> <li>Strong organisational and time management skills</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and hygiene</li> <li>Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team</li> <li>Knowledge of food safety standards and WHS practices</li> <li>A <strong>Food Safety or Menu Planning certificate (or equivalent)</strong> and experience in kitchen operations or commercial cookery will be highly regarded.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Why Join Loreto Kirribilli?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supportive and collaborative staff community</li> <li>Well-resourced teaching facilities</li> <li>Opportunity to support creative and practical learning programs</li> <li>Beautiful harbourside campus location</li> </ul>
