<p><strong>Your New Role</strong></p>
<p>Classroom and learning support (CLS) is a dedicated service that provides a range of resources and assistance to students with disabilities and additional learning needs. It aims to create an inclusive learning environment where all students can reach their full potential. CLS staff work closely with classroom teachers to identify and address students' needs, providing tailored support and strategies. This may include direct instruction, small group work, assistive technology, and behavior management techniques. CLS also offers professional development to teachers, helping them implement effective inclusive practices.</p>
<p><strong>The Position</strong></p>
<p>Permanent Position with Additional Temporary Hours for 2026</p>

<li><strong>32 Hours/Fortnight </strong>

<li>14 Hours/Fortnight Permanent </li>
<li>18 Hours/Fortnight Temporary (Until December 2026)</li>

<li>Monday - Thursday 9:30am - 12:30pm</li>
<li>Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm</li>

<li><strong>Contract Notes</strong>
<ul>
<li>The Friday shift is specific to our Kinder Transition Program and concludes on 04/12/2026.</li>
<li>All other temporary hours conclude on 17/12/2026, at which point the position reverts to the permanent 14 hours per fortnight.</li>

<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support the Catholic Ethos of the school</li>
<li>Prepare resources to assist the student with additional needs to learn in an age-appropriate and educational manner.</li>
<li>Has an understanding of general educational processes and methods and health and safety requirements.</li>
<li>Demonstrates the proven capacity to work with children with high and/or additional needs.</li>
<li>Ability to work as a member of a professional team, by interacting thoughtfully, positively and conscientiously with staff and students.</li>
<li>Support the students and/or teachers in the use of technology</li>
<li>Highly developed communication skills</li>
<li>Proven capacity to work independently as required</li>
<li>Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A, <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aCbIP5U7RUVpmXSRFNJjPniiJAxX9Kc7W7RNmEFGV8s/edit?usp=sharing" rel="nofollow">Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools</a>, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.</li>
<li>Successful candidate to undergo a National Criminal History Check</li>
<li>NSW Working with Children Check</li>
