<p>St Patrick’s College, Strathfield is a Catholic school for boys in the Edmund Rice tradition offering a quality education to over 1,600 boys from Years 5 to 12. The Co-Curricular Program supports&nbsp;and complements the spiritual and academic life of our students.&nbsp; The College is also a member of the Independent Sporting Association (ISA) and Independent Primary Schools Heads of Australia (IPSHA).&nbsp;</p> <p>Expressions of interest are sought from suitably qualified <strong>Athletic Development </strong>Coach, commencing <strong>Monday 16 March 2026 </strong><i><strong>(or by negotiation)</strong></i>.&nbsp;</p> <p>As the Athletic Development Coach, you will be required during the following days and times:</p> <p><strong>Monday: </strong>7:00am to 9:00am</p> <p><strong>Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: </strong>3:00pm to 5:00pm</p> <p><strong>Key Duties</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide supervision in the College gymnasium</li> <li>Instruct students in correct exercise technique, ensuring safe use of equipment and appropriate gym etiquette</li> <li>Set up and pack up training sessions as required</li> <li>Assist in the administration of performance testing and the collection of relevant data</li> <li>Deliver athletic development components within team sport training sessions (e.g. warm-ups, conditioning, rehabilitation activities)</li> <li>Assist in the development of athletic development programs aligned with best practice</li> </ul> <p>To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate you satisfy all of the following essential selection criteria:</p> <p><strong>Essential to this role</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice</li> <li>ASCA Level 1 accreditation or above</li> <li>Current enrolment in, or completion of, a <strong>Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science</strong></li> <li>A keen interest in athletic development and rehabilitation</li> <li>Proven ability to lead and manage adolescents</li> <li>Possession of (or eligibility to obtain) and maintain a current Working With Children Check</li> <li>A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)</li> </ul> <p>Successful applicants will have a proven track record of reliability, punctuality, experience in athletic development coaching.
