Contract Type: Contract Position Part Time
Applications Close: 27 February 2026
At St Patrick’s Primary School St Arnaud, the Mental Health in Primary Schools (MHiPS) role is a vital part of our commitment to nurturing the whole child — heart, mind and spirit.
Through MHiPS, we proactively strengthen student wellbeing, build emotional resilience, and create a safe, supportive environment where every child feels known, valued and heard. The role enhances our whole-school approach to mental health by supporting staff with evidence-based strategies, building student social and emotional skills, and strengthening partnerships with families and external services.
MHiPS enables early identification and intervention, ensuring students receive the right support at the right time. It empowers our teachers with practical tools and professional learning, embeds wellbeing into everyday classroom practice, and helps foster a positive school culture grounded in respect, belonging and inclusion.
At St Patrick’s, we believe wellbeing is the foundation for learning. The MHiPS initiative strengthens our capacity to ensure that every student can flourish academically, socially and emotionally — growing not only as learners, but as confident, capable and compassionate young people.
