<p><strong>About You</strong><br><br>
The College seeks to appoint a suitably qualified Literacy Specialist Teacher to a part-time, temporary position, commencing as soon as possible for the remainder of the 2026 school year. This role requires a commitment of three days per week. Applications from recent graduates are strongly encouraged.<br><br>
As a <strong>Literacy Specialist Teacher</strong>, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.<br><br>
To excel in this role, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>support and commit to the mission, values and ethos of Catholic Education</li>
<li>create and execute engaging, thoroughly designed learning experiences that effectively address the school literacy priorities</li>
<li>provide specialist support to teachers and students for the integration and application of effective literacy strategies</li>
<li>collect and use a range of evidence to assess, evaluate and improve teaching and learning practices</li>
<li>have strong interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration and quality relationships in working with others</li>
<li>be skilled and committed to working with students through a positive approach to behaviour management</li>
<li>have the ability to integrate ICT into their teaching of Literacy.</li>
</ul>
<p>You will have attained:</p>
<ul>
<li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li>
<li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).</li>
</ul>
