<p><strong>About You</strong><br><br>
We are seeking a committed and experienced Science Teacher to join our College, with the additional responsibility of Instructional Coach that will work within a team led by the Leader of Learning and Innovation. This role supports excellence in teaching and learning through exemplary classroom practice, collaborative planning, staff mentoring and the implementation of effective, evidence-based pedagogies aligned with College priorities.<br><br>
The Instructional Coach role attracts a time allocation and is suited to an educator who demonstrates instructional leadership, a commitment to continuous improvement and a shared responsibility for enhancing student learning outcomes within a Catholic educational environment.<br><br>
To excel in this role, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>lead and support the implementation of whole-school and faculty teaching and learning priorities</li>
<li>work collaboratively with middle leaders to strengthen consistency of instructional practice</li>
<li>provide coaching, feedback and modelling of effective pedagogy in classrooms</li>
<li>support the use of data, learning walks and reflective practice to improve teaching quality</li>
<li>contribute to the design and delivery of professional learning aligned with College improvement goals</li>
<li>support curriculum innovation and the effective implementation of syllabus and assessment requirements</li>
<li>model and promote high-impact, evidence-based instructional strategies</li>
<li>collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning, assessment and moderation</li>
<li>mentor and support teachers to strengthen pedagogical practice within the Science faculty</li>
<li>use student data to inform teaching, monitor progress and improve learning outcomes</li>
<li>contribute positively to the academic and pastoral life of the College</li>
<li>demonstrate a commitment to professional learning and continuous improvement</li>
<li>support and uphold the ethos and mission of Catholic education</li>
<li>collect and use a range of evidence to assess, evaluate and improve teaching and learning practices</li>
<li>have strong interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration and quality relationships in working with others</li>
<li>be skilled and committed to working with students through a positive approach to behaviour management</li>
<li>have the ability to integrate ICT into their teaching of Science</li>
<li>demonstrate excellence in Science teaching through engaging, inclusive and effective classroom practice. Experience in Teaching Biology and Investigating Science will be advantageous.</li>
