<p><strong>DEPUTY PRINCIPAL - LEARNING AND TEACHING</strong></p>
<p>St Joseph’s Primary School is a Catholic primary school located in Warragul with a current enrolment of 335 students. The School was officially opened in 1882 and is one of two primary schools in St Joseph’s Parish. St Joseph’s Primary School was opened on the current site in Burke Street in 2004 and shares this site with Marist-Sion College.</p>
<p>Warragul has grown from a semi-rural residential town to become a part of a major growth corridor, 100 kilometres south-east of Melbourne’s CBD in the West Gippsland region, on the lands of the Gunaikurnai People. Warragul forms part of a larger urban area that includes the nearby town of Drouin and is accessible from the M1 freeway. St Joseph’s Primary School is located close to Warragul’s CBD with many retail and food stores together with other large retail outlets.</p>
<p>The School, as part of St Joseph’s Parish Warragul, provides access to Catholic education to families situated in the central and eastern areas of the Parish and boasts vibrant, modern classrooms that are well appointed and resourced. </p>
<p>St Joseph’s Primary School, Warragul is seeking a faith filled, inspirational and dynamic Deputy Principal to work in partnership with our staff, student and parent community. The role of the primary deputy principal is to support the principal and leadership team in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students at St Joseph’s Primary School. The role involves working closely with the principal in enacting the strategic directions of DOSCEL and the deployment of resources, which reflect the following key priorities:</p>

<li>Improved learning outcomes for all students</li>
<li>Strengthening and development of expert teacher practice, leadership formation and capacity building</li>
<li>Ongoing commitment to effective and supportive governance.</li>

We are seeking a suitably qualified applicant with a proven record of leadership, who aspires to principalship.The Deputy Principal position will initially be offered on a fixed-term basis for three years, with opportunity for renewal. The successful applicant will be offered ongoing employment at the School as a teacher. </p>

<p><strong>Tenure:</strong> Three years fixed-term (underpinned by an ongoing teaching position), with a possible second period of appointment</p>
<p><strong>Classification:</strong> Primary Deputy Principal Level 2 (200 – 399 students) in accordance with the <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QwcmeBrHaihkk85PT0khfTW_N4uGQ2iH/view" rel="nofollow"><i>Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022</i></a>.</p>

<p><strong>Salary:</strong> $140,477 - $143,686</p>
