We are looking for a Part- Time ( 0.5 - 0.7 FTE) Laboratory Assistant to join our dedicated Science team. The Laboratory Team supports the Science department in our purpose-built Science facility. Hours of work are negotiable, however, availability on Wednesdays is essential.

The Laboratory Team supports the Science department in our purpose-built Science facility. <strong>Hours of work are negotiable, however, availability on Wednesdays is essential.</strong></p> <p>Ballarat Clarendon College offers specialised Science classes through Years 5-12 with students enjoying specialised Science practicals each and every week.</p> <p>Our new Laboratory Assistant will be problem solvers with a passion for Science, who hold a relevant qualification or experience. Clarendon is willing to support the right person to gain the necessary qualifications, whilst working.</p> <p>Clarendon's new Laboratory Assistant will be excellent team player, willing to learn and confident professionals who are fully committed to the school and its community.</p> <p><strong>Knowledge, skill and qualification requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relevant qualification, relevant work experience and/or the willingness to obtain qualifications whilst working</li> <li>Demonstrated commitment to child safety, safety standards, dangerous goods regulations and risk assessment.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and prioritise work in an environment with multiple and conflicting demands.</li> <li>Commitment to carrying out safety checks, maintaining equipment, setting up classroom laboratories and caring for flora and fauna.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Child safety commitment</strong></p> <p>Ballarat Clarendon College is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students through its Child Safety Framework and an ongoing focus on ensuring a culture of child safety is promoted and maintained.
