<p>SCBC is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated <strong>Primary Education Assistant</strong> to join our Primary School team. This role plays a vital part in supporting teaching and learning by helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to achieve their best.</p>
<p>Working alongside classroom teachers, the successful applicant will support students through small group and individual learning, assist with classroom routines, and contribute positively to student wellbeing and behaviour. A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to Christian education are essential.</p>

<p><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p>
<p>• Support classroom teachers in the delivery of learning programs.<br>
• Assist with small group and individual student learning.<br>
• Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to students.<br>
• Support classroom behaviour management strategies.<br>
• Prepare learning materials and teaching resources.<br>
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.<br>
• Uphold the Christian ethos and values of the College.<br>

<p><strong>Selection Criteria:</strong></p>
<p>• Certificate III in School Based Education Support (CHC30221) or Certificate III in Children’s Services.<br>
• Knowledge of EYLF and NQS standards, particularly in Junior Primary.<br>
• Ability to engage students in literacy and numeracy activities.<br>
• Familiarity with Reggio Emilia or project-based learning approaches.<br>

<p><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p>
<p>• A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.<br>
• Active participation in a church or Christian community, exemplifying Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.<br>
• Acceptance of the College’s Statement of Faith.<br>
• Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board, Principal, staff, students, and parents.<br>
• Commitment to personal best practice.<br>
• Ensure decisions are impartial, fact-based, and fair.<br>
• Model appropriate and proper channels of communication.<br>
• Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos.<br>
• Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.<br>
• Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the College’s values and policies.</p>
<p>Possession of the following certifications:<br>
• National Police Clearance<br>
• Working with Children Check<br>
• First Aid Certificate</p>
