<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong><br><br> The Maintenance Officer will be required to undertake the following duties and responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Property Manager in the day to day maintenance by providing minor maintenance and repairs to but not limited to the College buildings, assets, equipment, bus fleet, furniture and fittings.</li> <li>Use the College systems to action and prioritise maintenance requests and calendar events for set-up of College assemblies, masses, exams etc.</li> <li>Liaise and promptly report on maintenance which is beyond the scope of the position such as tree safety, engineering issues, air-conditioning/heating, plumbing, electrical and glass repairs, etc.</li> <li>Assist the Property Manager with co-ordination of tradespersons and contractors ensuring safe working practices and high work standards are always met.</li> <li>Proactively identify maintenance issues then rectify/initiate remedial action.</li> <li>Other duties through consultation with the Principal or Property Manager.<br> &nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience and Qualifications</strong></p> <p>It is anticipated that the Maintenance Officer would have or obtain, the following:</p> <ul> <li>Current Full Victorian Drivers Licence.</li> <li>Hold or willing to get a Medium Rigid or higher Licence (Desirable).</li> <li>Working with Children Check.</li> <li>Be proactive, well organised and able to work to a high standard without direct supervision.</li> <li>Basic computer skills will be an advantage.</li> <li>Trade qualified or experience in building maintenance</li> <li>&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Interested?</strong></p> <p>To apply, please submit your CV and Cover letter by visiting the College website www.sbc.vic.edu.au/about/employment</p> <p>Applications close at <strong>4:00 pm on Friday, 20 February 2026.</strong><br><br><i>The College promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children and young people.</i></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
