Cranbrook School is seeking a permanent full-time ICT Service Desk Officer. This position works at both the Senior School campus at Bellevue Hill and the Junior School campus at Rose Bay and supports our Pre-schools at Darling Point and Vaucluse.

<p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION</strong></p> <p>The ICT Service Desk Officer is integral to the success of Cranbrook School’s ICT service operations. Working within a small team of front-end support professionals the role works within the ICT Service Desk team providing excellent, timely and helpful 1st and 2nd level ICT support to all staff, students, and other school community members.&nbsp;</p> <p>This position is responsible for complete problem determination, incident recording, technical and problem resolution for all client IT services and products across all of the Schools' campuses. These services and products include client systems, Windows and MacOS desktops, laptops, tablet devices, client applications (software), cloud and online services, peripheral devices such as printers, audio visual equipment, networks, data services, and IP phones.</p> <p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p> <p>You have recent experience in a similar role providing helpdesk / service desk support, including&nbsp;working directly with other ICT Service Desk Officers to provide direct and remote technical support to staff and students, via service desk or infield assistance.&nbsp;</p> <p>You have experience in liaising with suppliers for repairs and maintenance; actioning and coordinating urgent and complicated issues; undertaking service desk projects such as desktop, laptop and peripheral hardware and software deployments; and maintaining and delivering documentation relevant to Apple deployment, client systems, service desk processes and operations, including work instructions and procedures.</p> <p>You are energetic, enthusiastic and able to display a high level of care and patience. Possessing strong customer service skills, you have a positive, friendly and helpful nature and are able to work both independently and as part of a team.</p> <p><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA</strong></p> <ul> <li>TAFE or equivalent Information Technology certification and/or relevant experience</li> <li>Experience in providing general technical assistance to the user community for all client devices and applications including Apple and Microsoft client operating systems, productivity and creative client applications (including MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Office 365, GSuite, Canvas LMS) and other technology devices including audio visual, telephones, conferencing, and printing</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to work to deadlines</li> <li>Ability to think clearly and remain calm and patient under pressure</li> <li>A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children&nbsp;</li> <li>A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>A ITIL V3 or V4 Foundations Certificate, Certificate IV in Information Technology Support, Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or similar field and/or Vendor Certifications would be highly desirable.&nbsp; Experience in the education sector would be valued by is not essential.</p> <p><strong>HOW TO APPLY</strong></p> <p>Applications should include a resume and a cover letter addressing the selection criteria and reasons for your interest in the position.
