We work closely with families, community organisations, and support services to provide wraparound support that addresses both educational and personal development needs.</p> <p><strong>Our Young People&nbsp;</strong><br> Young people come from diverse backgrounds and often face a significant and complex range of educational, social, developmental, environmental, psychological, health, legal barriers to learning which require unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation By Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices.&nbsp;</p> <p>We recognise that each young person’s journey is unique. Our staff are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and empowering learning environment where young people can develop confidence, reconnect with education, and work towards their goals.</p> <p><strong>Our Team&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong><br> Fitzroy North College is a small, calm and inclusive learning space designed for young people who haven’t felt supported in traditional school settings. Many experience school-related anxiety, neurodivergence or mental health challenges. Staff co-create a predictable, welcoming environment that supports confidence and connection.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>The role of Deputy Principal will join the Leadership Team of the school and report directly to the Campus Principal. The Deputy Principal has delegated responsibility from the Campus Principal for the management and leadership of the campus and any outreach services related to that campus. The position provides leadership and supervision to staff and the young people of the campus, working collaboratively with the Campus Principal, Central Office team members and other personnel as required. The successful applicant will be an experienced educational leader with a passion for, and experience in, working with disenfranchised young people of all social, cultural and religious backgrounds.&nbsp;</p> <p>You will be employed as an ongoing Teacher with a with a Fixed Term Position of Leadership for 5 years to commence in Term 2 2026 and&nbsp;will be employed under the Catholic Education<i><strong> </strong></i>Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.
