<p>Situated in the Tuggeranong Valley, Bonython Primary School is a P-six school with approximately 427 students. The school’s motto of learning with purpose and passion underpins the belief that students learn best when there is meaning, context and high levels of engagement and empowerment.</p> <p>Bonython Primary School is a supportive learning environment where students are challenged to achieve their personal best and provides well balanced and fluid educational programs placing an emphasis on all aspects of the Australian Curriculum. Students are accommodated in six learning units: Little Burra, Murrumbidgee, Brindabella, Yerrabi, Tidbinbilla and Namadgi. Units are divided into class groups; however students often work in cross-unit configurations. Teachers work in teams to provide a balanced, well-structured educational program and are passionate about teaching the importance of collaboration, being a self-manager, developing strong communication skills, being a critical thinker and a proactive researcher. The school believes that education is a partnership between school and home and greatly appreciate the active role that families and community partnerships can play in developing students to be the leaders of tomorrow.</p> <p><strong>Eligibility/Other requirements:&nbsp;</strong>Prior to commencing this role:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification.</li> <li>A current full teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (<a href="https://www.tqi.act.edu.au/" rel="nofollow"><u>TQI</u></a>) (or eligibility for teacher registration with the ACT TQI)</li> <li>A current registration issued under the&nbsp;<i>Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011</i>&nbsp;is required.
