<p>St Columba's College Ltd is a Catholic secondary girls' school located in Essendon under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and conducted in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity.</p>
<p>At St Columba’s College, Religious Education is central to our identity as a Catholic learning community. Grounded in Gospel values and a commitment to justice, our RE program encourages students to explore faith, meaning, ethics, and their responsibility to the wider world.</p>
<p>We are seeking a passionate and reflective Religious Education Teacher to join our community. The successful candidate will support students in developing spiritual literacy, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of Catholic tradition while engaging thoughtfully with contemporary issues. This is an ongoing part time (08. to 1FTE) position to commence asap.</p>
<p>The classes will include (may be subject to change):</p>
<ul>
<li>Year 11 Religious Education</li>
<li>Year 10 Religious Education (x3)</li>
<li>Year 9 Religious Education (x2)</li>
<li>Year 8 Religious Education</li>
</ul>
<p>You will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Plan and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons</li>
<li>Foster thoughtful discussion around faith, ethics, identity, and social justice</li>
<li>Create inclusive learning environments that respect diverse perspectives</li>
<li>Integrate Catholic Social Teaching into curriculum and classroom practice</li>
<li>Collaborate with colleagues to design meaningful curriculum and assessment</li>
<li>Contribute to the spiritual life of the College through liturgies, retreats, and reflection opportunities</li>
</ul>
<p>We want to hear from you if you are an educator who:</p>
<ul>
<li>Holds current registration (VIT) and relevant tertiary qualifications</li>
<li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education (or willingness to obtain)</li>
<li>Strong understanding of Catholic theology and Religious Education curriculum</li>
<li>Values collaboration, professional growth, and student-centred learning</li>
<li>Embodies the College’s values of compassion, justice, hope, truth, and love</li>
