We are seeking an outstanding educator to join our Mission and Wellbeing Team as Dean of Student Wellbeing, a key leadership role shaping the whole-school approach to wellbeing across the College.

<p>We are seeking an outstanding educator to join our Mission and Wellbeing Team as <strong>Dean of Student Wellbeing,</strong> a key leadership role shaping the whole-school approach to wellbeing across the College. This is a role for a relational leader who understands that wellbeing is built day by day through culture, relationships, high expectations and a deep sense of belonging.</p>
<p>Leadership experience within a Catholic School environment and postgraduate study in the area of Student Wellbeing would be highly desirable.</p>
<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>Reporting to the Deputy Principal – Mission and Wellbeing, the Dean of Student Wellbeing leads a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to wellbeing across Years 5–12. This role plays a central part in shaping a culture of flourishing grounded in Positive Education principles and the Catholic and Augustinian ethos of the College. </p>
<p>As a teaching position, the successful candidate must hold recognised teaching qualifications and current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW, and will be an experienced, high-impact classroom practitioner.</p>
<p>This role provides a unique opportunity to build on the strength and momentum of our existing wellbeing programs, while contributing fresh vision, innovation and strategic leadership.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and build upon the College-wide Student Wellbeing Framework informed by Positive Education, current wellbeing research and best practice.</li>
<li>Ensure student, staff, parents, and where appropriate, the wider community, are provided with effective and relevant learning experiences.</li>
<li>Strengthen and extend our existing wellbeing initiatives, systems and supports across all year levels.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with the Mission & Wellbeing team, Heads of Primary, Heads of Year, Heads of House, psychologist/counsellors and teaching staff to deliver cohesive and proactive wellbeing support.</li>
<li>Build staff capability in Positive Education through professional learning, coaching and shared practice.</li>
<li>Use wellbeing and behavioural data to guide interventions, identify trends and measure impact.</li>
<li>Build upon the existing Wellbeing networks to ensure best practices.</li>
<li>Teach as a committed educator who models pastoral attentiveness, professional excellence and care.</li>
<li>Engage positively with students, parents and external wellbeing professionals to foster a thriving community.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>You will bring a warm, relational and forward-thinking approach, along with:</p>
<ul>
<li>A commitment to the Catholic and Augustinian mission of the College.</li>
<li>Deep expertise in student wellbeing, including practical application of PERMA and Positive Education. Ideally, some post-graduate qualifications or extensive professional learning.</li>
<li>Experience and confidence in communicating and presenting.</li>
<li>NESA accreditation and teaching qualifications enabling you to teach in NSW secondary schools.</li>
<li>Significant classroom experience and a reputation for high-quality, student-centred teaching.</li>
<li>Demonstrated pastoral or wellbeing leadership within a school context.</li>
<li>Strong communication, organisation and collaborative leadership skills.</li>
<li>Experience in boys’ education (highly desirable).</li>
