An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Curriculum Writer, Religious Education (Primary) to join the team at MACS.

<p><strong>YOUR ROLE</strong></p>
<p>The Curriculum Writer, Religious Education (Primary) (1 year Fixed Term) plays a vital role in designing, developing, and supporting the implementation of high-quality Religious Education curriculum aligned with the vision and mission of Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Melbourne.</p>
<p>Reporting to the Lead Curriculum Writer, Religious Education, this role contributes to the faith and academic formation of students through curriculum development, professional support, and resource creation. You will be part of a passionate team working towards strengthening the Catholic identity of MACS schools and supporting school leaders and teachers in their formation.</p>
<p>This is a unique opportunity for an educator with a strong foundation in theology and Religious Education to shape the future of faith formation in Catholic primary schools.</p>
<p><strong>WHAT YOU WILL DO</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Write and develop Religious Education curriculum for primary students across MACS schools.</li>
<li>Align RE initiatives with MACS 2030 strategic documents and the Mission, Purpose and Vision statements.</li>
<li>Support the implementation of the Religious Education Curriculum Review (2022–2023) recommendations.</li>
<li>Strengthen parish/school engagement and foster RE excellence in both faith and academic dimensions.</li>
<li>Provide targeted professional support and collaborate with schools and stakeholders to deliver high-impact RE outcomes.</li>
<li>Analyse and use data, research, and evidence to inform continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Contribute to Catholic Mission and Identity projects, policies, and strategic work.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You are a practicing Catholic with a deep commitment to the evangelising mission of the Church and Catholic education.</li>
<li>You have strong theological and Religious Education expertise and a clear understanding of RE's purpose and direction in Catholic schools.</li>
<li>You are an experienced educator with excellent communication, collaboration, and curriculum development skills.</li>
<li>You bring creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in curriculum design.</li>
<li>You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy contributing to the broader mission of Catholic education.</li>
