<p><i><strong>Casual Cook – MACS Early Learning Centre</strong></i></p> <p><i><strong>Identified Position</strong></i></p> <p>The WBACC operates an Early Learning Centre and is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the casual position of Cook. </p> <p>The Gudjahgahmiamia MACS Early Learning Centre prides itself on Wreck Bay Community cultural values and is committed to the Community it provides care for.</p> <p>This is an identified position, which means the successful applicant would be able to demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people; and</li> <li>an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.</li> </ul> <p>The successful applicant will be employed under the Children’s Services Award 2010.</p> <p>The position is a causal.</p> <p>The cook’s hours are 8.30am to 1.30pm, Monday to Friday. </p> <p>The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:</p> <ul> <li>Good communication skills and ability to relate well with staff, parents and children. </li> <li>Following the menu and monitoring food supplies. </li> <li>Prepare age-appropriate meals for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.</li> <li>Preparing meals for children with special dietary requirements.</li> </ul> <p>Essential:</p> <ul> <li>Be aged 18 years or older</li> <li>Have experience in commercial food preparation </li> <li>ACT Working with vulnerable people card, or the ability to successfully apply for one</li> <li>A first aid certificate or the ability to successfully gain one</li> </ul> <p>APPLY NOW!</p>
