<p>We are seeking a skilled and motivated<strong> Property and Facilities Manager</strong> to join our school community and lead the effective management, maintenance, and development of our facilities.</p>

<p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Property and Facilities Manager </strong>is responsible for ensuring the school’s buildings, grounds, infrastructure, housing, and accommodation are safe, functional, and well-presented to support teaching, learning, and community life. This is a hands-on role that also requires strong administrative, IT, and planning skills. The successful applicant will manage day-to-day maintenance operations while using digital systems for asset management, budgeting, compliance, and reporting.</p>
<p>This is a full-time permanent postion reporting to the Principal.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>Property & Maintenance Management</p>
<ul>
<li>Oversee maintenance, repair, and improvement of school buildings, housing, accommodation, grounds, and equipment</li>
<li>Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules</li>
<li>Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with relevant standards</li>
<li>Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers</li>
</ul>
<p>IT & Systems Management</p>
<ul>
<li>Use digital tools for asset management, maintenance tracking, and scheduling</li>
<li>Maintain accurate digital records of assets, compliance, and maintenance</li>
<li>Liaise with IT service providers regarding infrastructure and connectivity</li>
<li>Support secure and efficient digital facilities systems</li>
</ul>
<p>Facilities Planning & Development</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist with planning and delivery of capital works and infrastructure projects</li>
<li>Maintain property records, plans, and asset registers</li>
<li>Liaise with consultants, builders, and diocesan or government representatives</li>
</ul>
<p>Work Health & Safety (WHS)</p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and Catholic Education NT policies</li>
<li>Support hazard and incident investigations and corrective actions</li>
<li>Maintain WHS registers, risk assessments, and incident reports</li>
<li>Promote a strong culture of safety across the school community</li>
</ul>
<p>Financial & Administrative Management</p>
<ul>
<li>Manage facilities and maintenance budgets</li>
<li>Source quotes, raise purchase orders, and process invoices</li>
<li>Ensure accurate records and cost-effective procurement</li>
</ul>
<p>Leadership & Collaboration</p>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with the Principal and Leadership Team</li>
<li>Supervise and support maintenance, grounds, security, and cleaning staff</li>
<li>Build positive relationships with staff, students, and the local community</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p>
<p><strong>Essential</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Current Working With Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and National Police Check</li>
<li>Experience in facilities, property, or asset management</li>
<li>Practical maintenance skills or the ability to coordinate trades</li>
<li>Strong organisational, budgeting, and project management skills</li>
<li>Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and within a diverse community</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Current LR Driver’s Licence, Forklift Licence, and completion of a 4WD Vehicle Course (or willingness to obtain for manual 4WD)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience working in a school, remote community, or similar environment</li>
<li>Qualifications in building, property, or facilities management (or equivalent experience)</li>
<li>Trade qualification and/or construction experience</li>
<li>Commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic education</li>
</ul>
