<p><strong>The position:</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Education Officer – Literacy and Numeracy</strong> provides system-level support to schools across Catholic Education NT, strengthening whole-school literacy and numeracy through evidence-based instruction, data-informed practice, and high-quality curriculum support for educators in remote, regional, and urban school communities.</p>
<p>This is a full-time permanent position, commencement date negotiable.</p>
<p><br><strong>Key responsibilities: </strong></p>
<p>As Education Officer – Literacy and Numeracy, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Support the implementation of the CENT Literacy and Numeracy Frameworks and the CENT Instructional Model.</li>
<li>Assist school leadership teams, teachers, and support staff to use data to develop targets, actions, and measures that improve literacy and numeracy outcomes.</li>
<li>Design and deliver professional learning to build the capacity of teachers and education assistants across curriculum areas.</li>
<li>Facilitate whole-class instructional support through asynchronous learning, team teaching, collaborative planning, and formal and informal professional development.</li>
<li>Support educators to embed strategies that meet individual student needs, are culturally responsive, and aligned with trauma-informed practice.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively across leadership and support roles as part of a system-focused team.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>About you:</strong></p>
<p>We are looking for someone who:</p>
<ul>
<li>Is committed to supporting the culture and Catholic ethos of Catholic Education NT.</li>
<li>Demonstrates excellence and leadership in Literacy and Numeracy instruction.</li>
<li>Has a strong understanding of, and experience working with, the Australian Curriculum.</li>
<li>Brings proven expertise in curriculum planning, pedagogy, assessment, and improving learner outcomes.</li>
<li>Uses data effectively to inform teaching practice and improve literacy and numeracy outcomes.</li>
<li>Works collaboratively with school leaders and colleagues and has the capacity to deliver high-quality professional learning.</li>
<li>Holds a current Working with Children (Ochre) Card, NT Driver’s Licence, and a Bachelor/Masters qualification in Education.</li>
<li>Is registered (or eligible for registration) with the NT Teacher Registration Board.</li>
