We provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, resilience and respect.</p> <p>In 2023, we introduced Grades 11 and 12, and as our student numbers continue to increase, we are seeking a <strong>Science Teacher</strong> to join our team.</p> <p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <p><strong>Science Teacher</strong></p> <p><strong>Ongoing – Commencing Term 1 2026</strong></p> <p><strong>Full-time (part time considered)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum (Years 7–10) and TASC Senior Secondary Science courses (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science).</li> <li>Create learning experiences that spark curiosity and encourage students to question, investigate, and think critically.</li> <li>Ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative, and engaging pedagogy.</li> <li>Support curriculum development and the success of our Science Department.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;<strong>The ideal candidate will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>have a teaching qualification with current registration in Tasmania.</li> <li>possess strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and TASC Science courses.</li> <li>be passionate and have a love of science and developing students’ analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>have excellent communication and classroom management abilities.</li> <li>enjoy integrating technology into teaching, to enhance contemporary learning experiences.</li> <li>join a supportive team, where you work collaborative, to plan and implement effective teaching and learning plans.</li> <li>be committed to igniting a passion for learning while embodying the values, mission, and principles of Catholic Education.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What's on offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full time, Ongoing role (part time considered)</li> <li>Training and professional development support</li> <li>Employee Assistance Program</li> <li>Free Parking</li> </ul> <p>Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
