We are seeking a suitably experienced Technology Assistant to join our College Technology Department team on a part-time, ongoing basis.

This position is responsible for supporting Technology teachers across multiple materials-based learning areas and contributing to a safe, well-organised and engaging environment for students. <br><br>
The days and hours of work for this position are Monday and Friday, totalling 11.5 hours per week (0.31 FTE).</p>
<p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong><br>
</p>
<ul>
<li>Supporting staff and students during Wood Technology, Plastics, Metal, Systems, Horticulture and Textile classes to maintain a safe learning environment</li>
<li>Preparing and pre-cutting materials using industrial power tools and cutting machinery</li>
<li>Maintaining static machines, ensuring cleanliness and safe operation across all learning areas</li>
<li>Assisting with ordering, purchasing and sourcing materials, equipment and tools</li>
<li>Maintaining budgets by avoiding unnecessary overspending</li>
<li>Supporting safe operation and basic maintenance of the laser cutter</li>
<li>Servicing machinery, equipment and tools, and maintaining chemical handling records and risk assessments</li>
<li>Assisting with deliveries, horticulture centre maintenance and general housekeeping of the department</li>
<li>Any other duties as directed by the College Principal, Executive Team or Director of Learning and Growth</li>
</ul>
