Loreto Toorak has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Athletics Performance Coach to join our school. This role is offered as a part-time (0.4 to 0.5 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2026. This position will be required to work weekends and school holidays when scheduled competitions and camps are held.

<p><strong>The Position</strong></p>
<p>Loreto Toorak has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Athletics Performance Coach to join our school. The Loreto Toorak Athletics Program caters for all levels and follow the Australian Athletics priorities of inclusive participation, long-term athlete development, and coach empowerment.</p>
<p>This role is offered as a part-time (0.4 to 0.5 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2026. This position will be required to work weekends and school holidays when scheduled competitions and camps are held.</p>
<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>The successful candidate will be an experienced Athletics Coach with expertise in technical event groups and a proven ability to mentor and develop coaches in a school setting. You will bring strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with a deep understanding of athlete development—particularly for female athletes.</p>
<p>You are organised, proactive, and confident in leading strength and conditioning sessions, supporting rehabilitation, and contributing to community engagement. You actively participate in school and professional events, including parent evenings, team meetings, and coach development sessions.</p>
<p>Experience designing and delivering speed, power, and technical training across age groups, coupled with data-informed coaching and performance monitoring, is highly valued. You foster a safe, inclusive, high-performance environment and ensure all facilities and equipment are well maintained and competition ready.</p>
<p>A current Working with Children Check (Employee) and Level 2 First Aid and CPR certification are essential. Australian Athletics Level 3 Performance Coach Accreditation (or higher), ASCA Level 1, or a tertiary qualification in Exercise or Sport Science are desirable. </p>
