St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School is located in Emerald, which is a Central Queensland town 270 kilometres west of Rockhampton. The school was originally established in 1902 by the Presentation Sisters to serve the Catholic families of the Central Highlands area of which Emerald is the geographical hub. The Presentation Sisters ended their ties with the school in 1992.
Teachers aim to provide students with the opportunity to achieve ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE. They encourage and foster the development of PERSONAL GROWTH within the child. These ideals are centred around the deepening of our CHRISTIAN FAITH. Teachers strive to have these aims as the centre point of any relationships and curriculum which occurs within the school community.
