St Malachy's, Edenhope, is seeking applications from suitable persons for the position of Learning Support Officer. This is a Fixed Term Position and is for up to 30 hours (8:55am-3:25pm) per week (open to negotiation), commencing at the start of the 2026 of the school year.

<p>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>Work 1:1 with students who have a range of learning, behavioural, social or medical needs.</li> <li>Support small and larger groups of students in classroom and specialist settings.</li> <li>Collaborate with classroom teachers, leaders and support staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences.</li> <li>Foster positive relationships with students, promoting engagement, independence and confidence.</li> <li>Support the implementation of personalised learning plans, adjustments and wellbeing strategies.</li> </ul> <p>Child Safety Requirements</p> <p>St Malachy’s is committed to ensuring the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children in our care. In accordance with Ministerial Order 870 – Child Protection and Safety, it is a legal requirement that all applicants provide the following before employment can be confirmed:</p> <ul> <li>A valid National Police Record Check</li> <li>A current Working With Children Check</li> <li>Proof of personal identity and any relevant professional or other qualifications</li> <li>Information regarding the applicant’s history of work involving children</li> <li>Professional references that address the applicant’s suitability to work with children</li> </ul>
