We’re seeking a thoughtful and skilled MHiPS Leader to join our team in 2026. This two day per week leadership role suits a teacher who understands that mental health is everyone’s business and that early identification, prevention and capacity building can shape a child’s learning and life. The successful applicant will also teach for one or two days per week. (MHiPS 2 days + 1-2 days classroom)

You’ll bring evidence based strategies into everyday school life, while valuing connection, belonging and the dignity of each child.</p> <p><i><strong>Collaboration and shared purpose</strong></i></p> <p>You will work alongside our Learning Diversity &amp; Inclusion Leader, Student Wellbeing Leader, Chaplain, Deputy Principals, and the broader Vision &amp; Impact Team to strengthen referral pathways, embed preventive approaches, and ensure support is coordinated and transparent.</p> <p><strong><u>YOU</u></strong></p> <p>You are a calm, capable and relational leader who values prevention as much as response.<br> You:</p> <ul> <li>Build staff capability with patience, clarity and strong pedagogical insight</li> <li>Understand mental health as a developmental journey shaped by relationships, environment and experience</li> <li>Know how to guide and support staff to identify early signs of need</li> <li>Communicate sensitively with teachers, families and external professionals</li> <li>Bring professional judgement, organisation and a steady presence to complex situations</li> <li>Value collaboration, reflective dialogue and working within a shared leadership structure</li> </ul> <p>This role is <strong>not a clinical position</strong>, but one focused on capability building, clear pathways and whole school implementation of wellbeing approaches.</p> <p><strong><u>REQUIREMENTS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Current VIT registration</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge or experience in student mental health, wellbeing, learning diversity or pastoral support</li> <li>Commitment to child safety and the Victorian Child Safe Standards</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>A genuine desire to work within a Catholic school and contribute to our mission</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>COME AND MEET US</u></strong></p> <p>You’re warmly invited to a school tour on any Wednesday at 9:30 am, or by appointment.<br> Call <strong>9709 8600</strong> to book.
