<p><strong><u>Positions</u></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Subject Matter Expert (SME): Inclusion &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Full-time (negotiable), temporary or secondment for 3 years&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Subject Matter Expert (SME): Speech Pathologist / Inclusion</strong></p> <p>Full-time (negotiable), temporary or secondment for 3 years&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Position Purpose</u></strong></p> <p>The purpose of the roles is to assist leaders, teachers and education assistants in schools to effectively support students with disability and diverse learning needs.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Commencement</u></strong></p> <p>The commencement dates for both positions will be negotiated with the successful applicants.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Essential criteria&nbsp;</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Recognised formal qualifications in the fields of education.&nbsp;</li> <li>Recognised formal qualifications in one or more aspects of Special Education (or studying towards attainment).</li> <li>Experience working in schools or with multidisciplinary teams in support of students with disability and diverse learning needs.</li> <li>Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in teams.</li> <li>Maintain and develop professional learning knowledge, practices and relationships.</li> <li>Highly developed skills in the use of technology for a variety of work functions as well as familiarity with a range of assistive technology options that support communication and learning.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.</li> <li>Current driver’s licence and willingness to undertake travel including overnight stays to fulfil the requirements of the role.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Desirable criteria&nbsp;</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Subject Matter Expert (SME): Speech Pathologist / Inclusion</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relevant degree and experience as a Speech Pathologist.</li> <li>Current accreditation to work as a Speech Pathologist in NSW. Recognised formal qualifications in one or more aspects of Special Education.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Subject Matter Expert (SME): Inclusion&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Secondary experience would be highly regarded.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Conditions of employment</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Two temporary positions for three years&nbsp;</li> <li>For staff already employed within Armidale Catholic Schools this position is available as a secondment opportunity.
