As we grow, we are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and/or experienced Learning Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will collaborate with school staff to assist teachers, students, and leadership in meeting the needs of students with diverse learning requirements. This is an ongoing, 60 hours per fortnight position commencing Term 1, 2026.<br><br><strong>About The Role</strong><br><br>
The role of <strong>Learning Support Officer</strong> is to assist in the provision of education and pastoral care for students from years 7 to 12 with a wide range of learning abilities. The Learning Support Officer works collaboratively with the Leader of Diverse Learning. As a member of St Mary's Cathedral College, the role requires a commitment to supporting a positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment.<br><br><strong>Essential Criteria</strong><br><br>
As part of the Learning Support team you will assist the classroom teacher in providing a quality Catholic education focused on maximising student outcomes, through a holistic, student centred curriculum.<br><br>

<li>an understanding of the diverse learning needs of students who require individual and in class support</li>
<li>an ability to work collaboratively with teachers as a team member</li>
<li>excellent communication skills</li>
<li>an ability to be organised, supportive and resourceful</li>
<li>a willingness to support the positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for students</li>
<li>familiarity with the Catholic Schools NSW PPSD profiles is an advantage</li>
<li>an ability to use and integrate technology across a wide range of administrative and curriculum applications.</li>
