St Michael’s Primary School in Coolamon are looking for a suitably qualified Temporary, (Maternity Leave) Classroom Teacher to work Part-Time commencing 27 January 2026

<p>St Michael's Primary School is a rural school that provides for the academic and spiritual growth for the children of Coolamon and surrounding districts. As a school we share a variety of new and wonderful experiences together and in each of these areas develop the guiding principles of what we want to become; spiritual, inquiring, reflective, collaborative, knowledgeable, caring and healthy global citizens.</p>
<p>Children have the opportunity to participate in many learning experiences as well as being exposed to assessment at State or wider levels with such opportunities as the University of NSW Exams, Basic Skills Tests and Essay writing competitions. In the sporting arena, the children are exposed to a wide variety of sports throughout the year, with opportunities to represent at Deanery, Diocesan, MacKillop and State levels.</p>

<li>Accreditation to teach RE in the Wagga Wagga Diocese (or working towards) </li>
<li>Relevant tertiary qualifications </li>
<li>Will be able to work as a team member. </li>
<li>Be committed to the Catholic faith. </li>
<li>Will be enthusiastic. </li>
<li>Will be prepared to participate in professional development activities. </li>
<li>Will be willing to teach composite classes and a variety of Stages. </li>
<li>Will need to demonstrate flexibility. </li>
<li>NSW Working with Children Check. </li>
<li>NSW NESA Accreditation</li>

<li>a sound understanding of, and commitment to, the goals of Catholic education and the operation of Catholic schools </li>
<li>competence as a teacher at a variety of year levels </li>
<li>highly effective communication skills </li>
<li>highly effective interpersonal skills </li>
<li>an awareness of current curriculum theory and research with particular reference to contemporary learning and teaching and 21st Century Learning Education </li>
<li>an ability to integrate ICT into the curriculum.</li>
