<p>We have an exciting opportunity, Position of Leadership as Director Faith and Mission, commencing Term 1, 2026. This is a POL5 for three years, plus an ongoing teaching position. &nbsp;</p> <p>Remuneration will be based on experience, following the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).</p> <p>De La Salle College is an integral part of the faith community of Malvern and Malvern East. &nbsp;De La Salle College&nbsp;is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS). MACS is the employer of employees at De La Salle College.&nbsp;</p> <p>We seek candidates with strong teamwork abilities, effective classroom management skills, and a dedicated commitment to the values of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.</p> <p><strong><u>Job Description:</u></strong></p> <p>Your primary responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>To embed the Lasallian tradition of educating the whole person through the curriculum and the range of activities which make up College life;</li> <li>To take responsibility for the organisation of all Retreats, Lasallian Service programs, Social Justice initiatives and all College liturgical events;</li> <li>To coordinate and organise the annual Staff Formation Days;</li> <li>To prepare and oversee the Budget for all Ministry;</li> <li>To lead the prayer and liturgical life of the College in conjunction with the Principal, Deputy Principal - Staff and Students and Heads of Schools;</li> <li>To liaise effectively with the Archdiocese of Melbourne and the feeder Parish Priests</li> <li>To work collaboratively with the Lasallian Mission Council, Lasallian Mission Services and the Lasallian Youth Ministry Team in support of Staff Formation activities</li> <li>coordinate and oversee on a yearly and term by term basis, whole College social justice initiatives</li> <li>To support the Lasallian Captains and House Captains as they work for social justice within their portfolios;</li> <li>To organise and coordinate all aspects of the Mission Action Day (MAD) fundraising program</li> <li>Manage the Religious Education Learning Area, supporting subject teachers, fostering excellence in teaching, professionalism of practice and a spirit of cooperation and collegiality within the Learning Area.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Skills/Experience Required:</u></strong></p> <p>We require the following qualifications and qualities in the ideal candidate:</p> <ul> <li>Relevant tertiary qualifications in education including a Master’s Degree (preferable);</li> <li>Experience in relevant educational leadership.</li> <li>Accreditation to Teach Religious Education</li> <li>Current VIT Registration.</li> <li>3 Referees including Parish Priest</li> <li>A strong commitment to Catholic education.</li> <li>Ability to build and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.</li> <li>Skills to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students.</li> <li>An eagerness to learn and grow in the field of education.</li> <li>Proficiency in implementing a differentiated curriculum and leveraging modern technology to support student learning.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Special Requirements:</u></strong></p> <p>At De La Salle College, the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children are paramount.
