<p>De La Salle College Malvern is a distinguished independent Catholic College for boys in Years 7–12, proudly serving the community since 1912. Across our two campuses in, we uphold a strong tradition of academic excellence, respectful relationships, and a deeply embedded Lasallian ethos.</p> <p>We are seeking an accomplished educational leader to join our Executive Team as Deputy Principal – Learning and Innovation. This five-year executive appointment includes an ongoing teaching role and offers a rare opportunity to shape the strategic direction of learning, teaching, and innovation.</p> <p>Remuneration will be aligned with experience and follow the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).</p> <p>As part of the wider faith and educational community of Malvern and Malvern East, De La Salle College operates under the governance of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS).</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The Deputy Principal – Learning and Innovation will play a pivotal role in leading the College’s learning culture, driving contemporary pedagogical practice, and ensuring the delivery of an engaging, future-focused education for all students. As a key member of the Executive Team, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide dynamic and progressive leadership of learning and teaching across the College</li> <li>Champion innovative curriculum design and implementation that meets the needs of every learner</li> <li>Lead and mentor Curriculum Leaders, Learning Area Team Leaders, and teaching staff</li> <li>Ensure the values and beliefs of our Lasallian Catholic tradition permeate College life</li> <li>Shape and articulate a vision for world-class learning through strategic and operational planning</li> <li>Model exceptional leadership within a collaborative Performance and Development culture</li> <li>Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality learning programs</li> <li>Partner with the Deputy Principal – Staff and Students to maintain teacher compliance with College standards</li> <li>Lead Professional Learning frameworks and initiatives across the College</li> <li>Participate in relevant College Board sub-committees, including the Building Committee as required</li> <li>Support the Principal with the planning and execution of the College Master Plan</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>You are an inspiring educational leader with a track record of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. You bring strategic insight, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to leading in a values-rich Lasallian environment.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will possess:</p> <ul> <li>A relevant tertiary qualification, including a Master’s degree</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in senior educational leadership</li> <li>Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration</li> <li>A genuine commitment to Catholic education and Lasallian values</li> <li>The ability to build meaningful, professional relationships with students, staff, and families</li> <li>Expertise in creating rich, challenging, and differentiated learning environments</li> <li>A mindset that embraces continual improvement, contemporary pedagogy, and the effective use of technology</li> </ul> <p><strong>Child Safety &amp; Eligibility Requirements</strong></p> <p>De La Salle College remains steadfast in its commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and inclusion.
