<p><strong>About You</strong><br><br>
As a <strong>Literacy Intervention Teacher</strong>, you will oversee and implement effective literacy intervention at their school. Through identifying and promptly addressing specific literacy difficulties that students may encounter, you are able to implement rich, targeted interventions, accelerate literacy development, and monitor and support students in building strong foundations that enable future educational success by:</p>
<ul>
<li>providing literacy intervention instruction to a designated number of K-2 students daily, during periods that do not conflict with mainstream English and Mathematics instruction</li>
<li>collaborating with classroom teachers to ensure alignment of intervention strategies with classroom instruction, ensuring a cohesive instructional approach to early literacy intervention</li>
<li>maintaining open communication with the parents of students receiving the intervention, updating them on selection to intervention, and regularly reporting progress</li>
<li>supporting the establishment of an intervention team to collaboratively monitor program progress and communicate information about the program and selection decisions</li>
<li>demonstrating practice in accordance with NESA Accreditation of the Australian Professional Standard for Teachers</li>
<li>overseeing the effective implementation of literacy intervention at the school</li>
<li>analysing a range of data, including the SCS K-6 Literacy Screeners and through professional conversations with classroom teachers, prioritising participation in the appropriate intervention program.</li>
