<p>Concordia College is seeking a Primary School Student Counsellor whose focus is on supporting Primary School students. The College will expect the Primary School Student Counsellor to support existing programs, to respond to student needs as they arise and communicate key concerns to the Primary Learning &amp; Wellbeing Leader.&nbsp;</p> <p>The position requires a high degree of interpersonal skills supported by strong counselling knowledge and skills and an understanding of students in a Primary School.&nbsp;</p> <p>The Student Counsellor supports students in developing strategies to manage individual, peer, social and emotional concerns, particularly for Reception to Year 6 students.</p> <p>The Student Counsellor will contribute to the existing Student Wellbeing Program within the school. The Student Counsellors support each other as the need arises and work in close collaboration with the Classroom teachers, the School Leader and the Principal. The Counsellor will participate in student and staff activities and be a positive role model to students in a Christian school.&nbsp;</p>
