<p><br><strong>About this Opportunity</strong><br><br>
We are looking for an energised, talented and passionate <strong>Data, Assessment and Reporting Lead K-6</strong> to join the Redlands team.<br><br>
We are seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to drive effective assessment practices that inform high quality teaching, learning and feedback across our school. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, implementation and analysis of assessment and reporting practices to improve student outcomes. Working closely with teaching teams, you will ensure data is used effectively to inform instruction, track student growth and support continuous improvement in pedagogy.<br><br>
In this role you will:<br>
</p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and support assessment and pedagogy across K-6, working closely with the Deputy Head of Junior School: Learning and Teaching.</li>
<li>Drive the design, implementation and evaluation of continuous reporting and rich assessment practices within our with Units of Inquiry.</li>
<li>Use data strategically to monitor student progress, inform teaching and present insights to staff and leadership.</li>
<li>Coach teachers in data-informed instruction and lead professional learning to build capacity.</li>
<li>Ensure consistency in the use of standardised assessments (e.g. MAP, NAPLAN, PAT) and oversee external academic competitions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with leaders to align assessment strategies and maintain continuity across the school.</li>
<li>Model exemplary teaching practice and contribute to classroom teaching as required.</li>
<li>Stay current with research and innovations in assessment and reporting, recommending improvements.</li>
<li>Undertake other duties as directed by the Head of Junior School.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About you</strong><br><br>
The successful applicant will have the below skills, knowledge and experience:<br>
</p>
<ul>
<li>Proven excellence as a classroom teacher, with experience across K-6.</li>
<li>Deep understanding of assessment theory, data literacy, and evidence-based teaching practices.</li>
<li>Experience implementing and analysing standardised assessment tools (e.g. MAP, NAPLAN, PAT).</li>
<li>Strong ability to interpret student performance data and apply findings to teaching strategies.</li>
<li>Experience developing and refining assessment frameworks and reporting practices in a K-6 setting (preferred).</li>
<li>High-level organisational and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Child Safe Standards and relevant school policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Understanding and commitment to the School's Mission, Vision and Values.</li>
