<p><strong>Join MacKillop Catholic College and support our growing senior program!</strong></p> <p>MacKillop Catholic College is a Catholic Secondary College on Hobart’s Eastern Shore with a strong commitment to academic excellence and pastoral care. To support this growth, we are seeking a dedicated <strong>English Teacher</strong> to join our English Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a progressive English program and help students succeed in their academic journey.</p> <p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <p><strong>English Teacher – TASC English Level 3</strong></p> <p><strong>Ongoing – Commencing 2026</strong></p> <p><strong>Full-time (part time considered)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Teach English across all secondary year levels, including English Level 3.</li> <li>Inspire students through engaging, student-centred teaching within a Catholic learning environment.</li> <li>Ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative, and engaging pedagogy.</li> <li>Support curriculum development and the success of our English Department.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;<strong>The ideal candidate will have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A proven record in teaching English at a senior level.</li> <li>Ability, experience, and qualifications to teach English, including TASC Level 3, using research based best pedagogical practices.</li> <li>Excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being.</li> <li>Creating and maintaining supportive and safe learning environments.</li> <li>Ability to integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills with parents, students, and staff.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment, to plan and implement effective teaching and learning.</li> <li>A commitment to ignite a passion for learning while embodying the values, mission, and principles of Catholic Education.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What's on offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full time, Ongoing role (part time considered)</li> <li>Training and professional development support</li> <li>Employee Assistance Program</li> <li>Free Parking</li> <li>Leadership opportunities</li> </ul> <p>Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
