St Francis Catholic College is a K-12 Diocesan College in the Edmund Rice Tradition located at Edmondson Park. In 2025 (its 9th year), it has an enrolment of approx. 1559 students.

<p><strong>Location:</strong> St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park</p> <p><i>St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1500 students in 2025. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site.&nbsp; As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12).&nbsp; St Francis was founded in 2017 and offers new, state-of-the-art learning &amp; specialist KLA facilities.</i></p> <p>A temporary part time position commencing on 27 January 2026 until 17 December 2026. The successful applicant will be required to work Monday, Tuesday, and every second Wednesday teaching PD/H/PE from Stage 4 up to and including Stage 6.</p> <p>The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li>Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li> <li>Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li> <li>Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in PD/H/PE.</li> <li>Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li> <li>Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers, and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Experience teaching PD/H/PE to Stage 6 students.</li> <li>Familiarity with, or a demonstrated willingness to quickly develop strong knowledge of, the new Health and Movement Science (HMS) syllabus.</li> </ul> <p>GENERAL CAPABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).&nbsp;</li> <li>Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment&nbsp; with CEDoW.</li> <li>The applicant must be accredited to teach with NESA.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>POSITION APPLICATION</p> <p>Applicants are to complete an online application that asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p> <p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p> <p><strong>Closing date: 3 December 2025 at 3pm</strong></p>
