Working closely with the School Leadership Team, this position is responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Leading a team of 8 Learning Support teachers and 5 Learning Support Officers to deliver learning support initiatives for students from Years 5-12</li> <li>Coordinating the EALD and Aboriginal Support programs&nbsp;</li> <li>Support the literacy strategy across the school</li> <li>Leading the strategic direction, implementation, and evaluation of inclusive education across the school.</li> <li>Managing the NCCD processes across the school&nbsp;</li> <li>Coordinating the development, delivery, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other personalised learning supports</li> <li>Overseeing internal exam and NESA disability provisions, adjustments, and compliance processes.</li> <li>Supporting and mentoring staff in evidence-based strategies that enhance learning access and student engagement</li> <li>Collaborating with parents, external professionals, and staff to ensure consistent and effective support for students with diverse learning needs</li> <li>Promoting a culture of empathy, understanding, and high expectations within the school community.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience and appropriate qualifications in leading diverse learning and/or learning support programs within a school setting.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of inclusive education principles, current legislation, and NCCD requirements.</li> <li>Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.</li> <li>The ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team of teachers and support staff.</li> <li>A commitment to the values and<strong>&nbsp;</strong>educational mission of the Edmund Rice tradition.</li> <li>Accreditation with NESA and a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Application Process</strong></p> <p>Applications (including cover letter addressing the above criteria and resume) should be addressed to the Principal, Dr. Michael Blowes and emailed to <a href="mailto:<a href='mailto:hr@cbhslewisham.nsw.edu.au?subject=Head%20of%20Diverse%20Learning%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29'>hr@cbhslewisham.nsw.edu.au</a>?subject=Head%20of%20Diverse%20Learning%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29" rel="nofollow"></a><a href="mailto:hr@cbhslewisham.nsw.edu.au?subject=Head%20of%20Diverse%20Learning%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">hr@cbhslewisham.nsw.edu.au</a>&nbsp;</p> <p>Shortlisting and interviews may commence prior to the due date.</p> <p>Christian Brothers’ High School, Lewisham is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of child safety and wellbeing.
