<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Holy Innocents' Catholic Primary School, Croydon<br><strong>Start Date:</strong> Term 1, 2026<br><strong>Application Closing Date:</strong> Monday, 24 November 2025<br><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Permanent, Part-Time (0.2 FTE) Tuesday and Thursday, 3.30pm to 6.30pm<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong><br><br> The Arrowsmith Program is a cognitive program designed to identify, intervene and strengthen students' weak cognitive capacities underlying their learning difficulties.&nbsp;<br><br><a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/education/learner-diversity#arrowsmith">https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/education/learner-diversity#arrowsmith</a><br><br> The Arrowsmith Program Teacher facilitates the delivery of the Arrowsmith Program within a Catholic school context. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive Arrowsmith Program training in preparation for assuming the role. This position requires the Arrowsmith Teacher to work two afternoons per week.<br><br> To be considered for this role, you must have the capacity and proven ability to:</p> <ul> <li>engage positively in professional learning and apply knowledge gained in the Arrowsmith Program training to the delivery of program content and processes through effective, content-rich teaching activities</li> <li>plan personalised programs aligned with the Arrowsmith Program to provide for students' varying needs and abilities</li> <li>utilise a variety of appropriate teaching strategies and resources, including technology, to make content meaningful to students</li> <li>work productively and openly with colleagues in reviewing teaching strategies and refining professional knowledge and practice</li> <li>apply knowledge of contemporary behaviour management strategies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong><br><br> We are seeking a caring, professional candidate with the following experience, skills and knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>a NESA accreditation</li> <li>a University degree in Education or Teaching</li> <li>experience in teaching in primary or secondary settings</li> <li>willingness to undertake the Arrowsmith Program training</li> <li>willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic Schools.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong><br><br> Joining <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/">Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS)</a> means being part of NSW's largest Catholic education community, with over 145 schools and 74,000 students.
