<p>Come work with us!</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver engaging Italian language lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.</li> <li>Foster a passion for language learning and cultural appreciation in a supportive, inclusive environment.</li> <li>Use diverse teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles.</li> <li>Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate Italian across the curriculum.</li> <li>Contribute to whole-school events celebrating Italian culture, including our annual Italian Day.</li> <li>Assess and report in line with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0, providing constructive feedback through semester reports.</li> <li>Share student learning through assemblies and newsletters.</li> <li>Promote conversational Italian in daily routines and encourage independence through tools like <i>Languages Online</i>.</li> <li>Incorporate music, singing, and prayers in Italian to enhance confidence and cultural understanding.</li> <li>Uphold child safety policies and support student wellbeing.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience Required</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.</li> <li>A strong commitment to Catholic education.</li> <li>Experience teaching LOTE - Italian P-6&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.</li> <li>Ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.</li> <li>Enthusiasm for implementing a differentiated curriculum and using modern technology to support student learning.</li> <li>Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>St Joseph the Worker promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.</li> <li>Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is essential.</li> <li>Contact details of two referees.</li> <li>Candidates must hold a valid visa and/or full Australian Working Rights and provide evidence of this.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Note:</strong> Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care.
