<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>St Andrews Lutheran College is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Innovation and Technology Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our workshop and technology spaces. This role is integral to maintaining a safe, organised, and innovative environment for students and staff.</p>
<p>In this role, you’ll oversee<strong> </strong>state-of-the-art tools, machines, IT equipment, and stock while ensuring a safe and inspiring environment for both students and staff. You'll be working in a stunning, purpose-built facility filled with the latest technology, alongside a dynamic and supportive team that thrives on creativity and innovation.</p>
<p>You will be responsible for:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assisting teachers during and after class time with resource preparation and workshop setup.</li>
<li>Aiding teachers in all aspects of safety to both students and staff while engaged in workshop class support.</li>
<li>Maintaining tools, machines, IT equipment, and stock to full working order.</li>
<li>Managing stock, ordering supplies, and keeping accurate records.</li>
<li>Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.</li>
<li>Supporting College events, displays, and technology-related activities.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Selection Criteria:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated ability to maintain and operate workshop tools, machines, and IT equipment safely and effectively, with a strong focus on workplace health and safety compliance (including MSDS and electrical tagging).</li>
<li>Proven organisational skills, including stock management, resource preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment.</li>
<li>Competence in using a personal computer and Microsoft Office programs, with a willingness to learn new technologies; experience with CNC machinery and associated software.</li>
<li>Ability to assist teachers and support students in practical learning settings while prioritising safety and wellbeing.</li>
<li>Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, set priorities, and manage tasks under pressure.</li>
<li>Commitment to the Christian ethos and values of the College, with the ability to support its mission and contribute positively to its community life.</li>
