<p>The Headmaster seeks to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Christian educator who displays a commitment to their Christian faith, evidenced by regular attendance at a Bible Believing Church, to this full-time, permanent leadership position. The successful candidate will work closely with the other Assistant Dean of Senior School to support the Dean of Senior School (School Executive).</p> <p>The staff of Macarthur are beneficiaries of an Apple laptop computer (for the duration of employment), a supportive Christian teaching environment and well-resourced facilities with a shared office co-located with the Dean of Senior School.&nbsp;</p> <p>Candidates for this role will be required to demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>the ability to command the classroom, a student assembly, a staff meeting, or a parent meeting and make people feel comfortable and informed;</li> <li>a deep understanding of pastoral care focused on student well-being and success;</li> <li>a comprehensive understanding of mental health issues in adolescents;</li> <li>an ability to be tenacious in following through complex social interactions and conflicts;</li> <li>familiarity with NESA curriculum requirements, experience in navigating academic pressure, assessment policy, academic tracking of students and examination procedures;</li> <li>the capacity to support the learning of both high-achieving and struggling students;</li> <li>support student wellbeing with empathy and boundaries by responding to crises in a steady, procedural manner; and,</li> <li>an ability to build a professional rapport with students to maximise positive student outcomes.</li> </ul> <p>The successful candidate must also demonstrate innovative use of ICT and the desire to contribute to the outdoor education and co-curricular programmes that provide a rich experience for our students.</p> <p>Applications for this position are only accepted via the Teaching Staff&nbsp;<a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScTXImS75urI84FEHX-vsxSwTiTx1LW0QadzgeKeHGM0WmbiA/viewform" rel="nofollow"><u>Online Application Form</u></a>.
