This is a POL3.5 for three years, plus an ongoing teaching position. &nbsp;</p> <p>Remuneration will be based on experience, following the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).</p> <p>De La Salle College is an integral part of the faith community of Malvern and Malvern East. &nbsp;De La Salle College&nbsp;is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS). MACS is the employer of employees at De La Salle College.&nbsp;</p> <p>We seek candidates with strong teamwork abilities, effective classroom management skills, and a dedicated commitment to the values of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.</p> <p><strong><u>Job Description:</u></strong></p> <p>Your primary responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>In collaboration with the Assistant Principal: Learning and Teaching and Learning Area Team Leaders, facilitate the design, development and implementation of a curriculum which is consistent with the overarching aims and mission of the College and Year 9 program in accordance with Victorian Curriculum standards;</li> <li>Support teachers with development of their skills and knowledge of inquiry and project-based education models, including the use of an appropriate repertoire of learning and teaching strategies. This is with a view to engendering innovative learning and teaching, with a focus on continual improvement in student learning outcomes;</li> <li>Work in collaboration with the&nbsp;Year 9 teaching staff and Data and Progression Leader to actively monitor student progress through Synergetic and the BASE&nbsp;</li> <li>Guide and support staff and students to create a learning environment and culture that promotes student wellbeing and resilience;</li> <li>Set the professional standards for members of their team – supporting the performance and development of Class/House Mentors in coming to understand the intrinsic links between wellbeing and learning</li> <li>Adhering to the school's Child Protection Policy and Child Safety Staff Code of Conduct.</li> <li>Ensuring up-to-date student data management systems.</li> <li>Complying with ongoing professional development requirements as per VIT guidelines.</li> <li>Actively engaging in internal and external professional development to enhance teaching practices.</li> <li>Utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively engage students in their learning journey.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Skills/Experience Required:</u></strong></p> <p>We require the following qualifications and qualities in the ideal candidate:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification (Masters Degree an advantage)</li> <li>Experience in relevant educational leadership.</li> <li>Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.</li> <li>A strong commitment to Catholic education.</li> <li>Ability to build and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.</li> <li>Skills to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students.</li> <li>An eagerness to learn and grow in the field of education.</li> <li>Proficiency in implementing a differentiated curriculum and leveraging modern technology to support student learning.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Special Requirements:</u></strong></p> <p>At De La Salle College, the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children are paramount.
