<p>We are seeking an experienced, visionary and energetic Deputy Principal – Secondary to join our College executive team in <strong>Term 1, 2026.</strong> The successful applicant will partner with the Principal to lead the strategic direction of the Secondary campus (Years 7-12), overseeing the daily operations, cultivating a high-performance culture and ensuring that students thrive in every dimension of school life. This full-time, ongoing leadership role offers significant scope to shape curriculum, wellbeing, staff growth and community partnerships within a faith-based context.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic leadership of the Secondary school, working in close partnership with the Principal, Heads of Department and broader leadership team to achieve the College’s vision&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the secondary school, including student wellbeing, behaviour systems, timetable scheduling, curriculum delivery, transitions and culture&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with the Principal and leadership team to implement the college's vision and educational policies&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead the monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of student academic outcomes, using data, research-informed strategies and targeted interventions&nbsp;</li> <li>Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-expectation school culture where every student is known, challenged, supported and respected&nbsp;</li> <li>Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and the wider community to enhance student engagement, service and citizenship&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead professional development initiatives for teaching staff and support their continued growth and improvement&nbsp;</li> <li>Contribute to the broader life of the College through executive leadership, strategic planning, innovation and other duties as required&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills &amp; Experiences</strong></p> <ul> <li>Postgraduate qualifications in Education or a related field&nbsp;</li> <li>Substantial experience (minimum 4–5 years) in a senior leadership role within a secondary school setting - preferably in a Deputy Principal or Head of Department role&nbsp;</li> <li>A track record of driving improved academic and behavioral outcomes through strategic initiatives, curriculum innovation and staff leadership&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively&nbsp;</li> <li>A committed practicing Christian who embraces and actively supports the Christian ethos, values and mission of the College&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven experience in Data informed improvement of academic result.</li> <li>Proven experience in whole school improvement of learning and teaching</li> <li>Experience in eLearning and digital tools will be an advantage&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Us</strong><br><br> Joining Lighthouse Christian College offers you the opportunity to make a tangible difference in a high-quality, faith-based learning environment.
