<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking an experienced professional to join us as a Database and Integration Engineer on a part-time basis. This role is particularly well-suited to someone returning to the workforce or seeking greater work-life balance. The position is approximately three days per week, with flexibility around working arrangements to be discussed in line with the successful applicant’s preferences.</p>
<p><strong>As our Database and Integration Engineer, your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Take ownership of our SQL Server database environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. </li>
<li>Lead the design and delivery of integrations and automations using Workato, PowerShell, and APIs. </li>
<li>Optimise database performance, manage backups, and maintain security controls. </li>
<li>Collaborate with system owners and vendors to resolve issues and improve processes. </li>
<li>Support data governance, quality, and compliance with privacy legislation.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience as a Database Administrator or Data Integration Engineer. </li>
<li>Strong SQL skills (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning). </li>
<li>Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and API-driven integrations. </li>
<li>Experience with enterprise integration platforms (Workato, Boomi, Power Automate) is highly desirable. </li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. </li>
<li>Analytical, pragmatic, and able to prioritise effectively.</li>
