<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a recent graduate or early-career IT professional to join us as a Database and Integration Engineer on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone eager to launch their career in a vibrant school environment, offering the chance to develop new skills, learn from experienced mentors, and progress into a specialist position.</p>
<p><strong>As our Database and Integration Engineer, your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support the administration and optimisation of our SQL Server database</li>
<li>Learn to create and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and complex queries. </li>
<li>Assist with database performance tuning, backup, and security. </li>
<li>Get hands-on experience with integration and automation tools (Workato, PowerShell, APIs). </li>
<li>Help ensure data moves accurately and securely between systems. </li>
<li>Collaborate with system owners and IT colleagues to improve processes.</li>
<li>A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or nearing completion). </li>
<li>Some experience (internships, projects, or coursework) with SQL and scripting. </li>
<li>Eagerness to learn PowerShell, APIs, and integration platforms. </li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li>
<li>A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks. </li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and a desire to work collaboratively.</li>
<li>Commitment to the Catholic and St Augustine's educational values and child safety.</li>
