<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a passionate and innovative <strong>STEAM Teacher</strong> to join our specialist teaching team, working with students from <strong>Prep to Year 6</strong> one day per week. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences in <strong>Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM)</strong>, fostering curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills.</p> <p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Planning and implementing a dynamic STEAM program aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.</li> <li>Promoting inquiry, design thinking and collaboration.</li> <li>Integrating digital technologies and the arts into authentic learning experiences.</li> <li>Working collaboratively with classroom teachers to embed STEAM learning across the curriculum.</li> </ul> <p>Contributing to a culture of innovation, teamwork and continuous improvement.</p> <p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p> <p>All applicants must:</p> <ul> <li>have and maintain ongoing registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching</li> <li>be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school or be willing to undertake accreditation</li> <li>have an understanding of and commitment to Child Safe Standards</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Selection Criteria</strong></p> <p>Applicants should demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>Commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of Catholic education.</li> <li>Current registration (or eligibility) with the <strong>Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)</strong>.</li> <li>Understanding of the Victorian Curriculum, particularly Science, Technologies, Mathematics and the Arts.</li> <li>Experience or interest in student-centred, inquiry-based and project-based learning.</li> <li>Capacity to integrate ICT and emerging technologies creatively and effectively.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.</li> <li>Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice.</li> </ul> <p>Understanding of and adherence to <strong>Child Safety</strong> and <strong>MACS policies</strong>, including the <i>MACS Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy</i>, <i>Code of Conduct</i>, and <i>Child Safety Procedures</i>.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
