The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to design and deliver syllabus-aligned programs, develop engaging and challenging learning experiences that promote critical thinking, and provide timely, constructive feedback to support student reflection and growth. This role is centred on nurturing the gifts and talents of each student, ensuring that Catholic practices and Mercy values are embedded in all aspects of school life.<br><br><br><strong>What are we looking for?</strong><br> &nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Relevant tertiary qualifications and approval with current NESA accreditation to teach courses in NSW.</li> <li>Experience teaching English across Stages 4 and 5, with Stage 6 experience highly regarded, and demonstrated alignment with relevant curriculum requirements.</li> <li>Demonstrated capacity to critically reflect on and adapt teaching practice to enhance student learning outcomes.</li> <li>Ability to foster a supportive and engaging environment that promotes effective student learning.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational, administrative, and collaborative skills.</li> <li>Flexibility and adaptability to meet the teaching needs of the College.</li> <li>Commitment to actively supporting and participating in the life of the College, including its Catholic mission and Mercy values.</li> <li>Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the College (with no regular weekend sporting commitments).</li> <li>Current Working with Children Check clearance.</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>What you need to know</strong><br> &nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Full-time, temporary teaching position for 2026 (Terms 1-4).</li> <li>Applications should be addressed to Ms Lucie Farrugia, Principal.</li> <li>Applications close 9am Monday 17 November 2025.</li> <li>Pre-employment screening will be conducted for preferred candidates.</li> <li>Interviews may proceed as applications are submitted, and the College reserves the right to appoint an applicant to the role at any time.</li> <li>At OLMC, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare, and well-being of children and young people, and we expect all staff to share this commitment.
