A unique opportunity exists for suitably qualified enthusiastic and energetic Guitar Specialist for students enrolled in the College Music program. This casual position will commence on the week beginning Feb 2026.

<p>Santa Maria College is a Catholic Girls’ Secondary School in the tradition of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan of the Order of St Benedict catering for approximately 760 students from Year 7–12.</p> <p><i>Authorised as an International Baccalaureate global school, Santa Maria College offers the Middle Years Program (Year 7–10) as part of their contemporary approach to learning.</i></p> <p><a href="https://www.teachers.on.net/vacancy/position/29-support-instrumental-tuition" rel="nofollow"><strong>Instrumental Tuition</strong></a></p> <p><strong>Teaching Subject:&nbsp;</strong><a href="https://www.teachers.on.net/vacancy/subject/33-music" rel="nofollow"><strong>Music</strong></a></p> <p><strong>Contract Type: Contract Casual Position approx 2 day per week</strong></p> <p><strong>2026 position</strong></p> <p>A unique opportunity exists for suitably qualified enthusiastic and energetic&nbsp;<strong>Guitar Specialists</strong> for students enrolled in the College Music program.</p> <p>This position will commence at the beginning of term 1 2026: 2nd February 2026.</p> <p>Position as follows:</p> <ul> <li>We are seeking a Guitar specialist for students enrolled in the College Music Program from Year 7 – 12</li> <li>Casual position for approximately 2 days per week depending on enrollment numbers and student availability.</li> <li>Experience in a school setting and music notation reading skills preferred.</li> <li>Experience in teaching acoustic and electric guitar required.</li> <li>This position includes two guitar group lessons that are part of the Year 7 program.&nbsp;</li> <li>This position includes one guitar ensemble lesson per week.</li> <li>Maintain accurate records of student attendance, student performance and progress.</li> <li>Complete other administrative tasks as required.</li> <li>Work in a team with other teachers in the Music Department.</li> <li>Cooperate with school procedures in relation to matters such as student attendance, punctuality, care of rooms and adherence to rules.</li> <li>Adhere to all school policies and attend meetings when requested.</li> <li>Requirements:&nbsp;Must hold a current Working with Children Check and a current Police Check.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Applications close 14th November 2025 at 3.00 pm.</u></strong></p> <p><i>Applications, together with the names and contact details of three current referees should be made in writing and forwarded via email to:<strong>&nbsp;</strong></i></p> <p><a href="mailto:principal@santamaria.vic.edu.au?subject=Casual%20Instrumental%20Music%20Instructor%20-%20Guitar%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">principal@santamaria.vic.edu.au</a></p> <p>Please get your applications in early.
