<p>Come work with us!</p> <p>We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic educator for a specialist Performing Arts teacher role at St Joseph the Worker working 0.58 FTE each week (days of work to be confirmed)</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver engaging music and performing arts lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 Dance, Drama and Music.</li> <li>Foster a love for music, drama, and movement in a safe and inclusive environment.</li> <li>Organize and lead school performances, concerts, and special events.</li> <li>Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate arts into broader learning experiences.</li> <li>Encourage student creativity, confidence, and teamwork through performance-based activities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A qualified teacher with experience or specialization in music and/or performing arts.</li> <li>Strong classroom management and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to play instruments and lead vocal and movement activities.</li> <li>Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their artistic development.</li> <li>A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The successful applicant must have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 in Performing Arts</li> <li>An understanding of and willingness to embrace the MACS 2030 Strategy, including the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement</li> <li>A passion for teaching and building strong relationships with students</li> <li>The ability to lead the learning in the classroom including principals of explicit instruction e.g. retrieval and review, checking for understanding and feedback etc.</li> <li>An ability to foster a classroom culture where mistakes are seen as valuable learning opportunities</li> <li>A collaborative mindset and commitment to working with our school community to improve student learning outcomes</li> <li>The ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences for all students</li> <li>Proficiency in the use of technology to enhance student learning</li> <li>Current VIT registration</li> <li>A willingness to comply with the school’s Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct</li> <li>Experience and passion teaching Performing Arts to students in a primary school setting</li> <li>Evidence of further learning to support them in their role<br> &nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified and innovative educators who will be able to demonstrate a commitment to enhancing Performing Arts for all students in our school. &nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant should display a willingness to be part of a school culture that encourages working together and understands the importance of providing each child with a personalized, rich learning journey.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Please complete the attached ‘Application for Employment’ and include it in your application.</p> <p>Further Requirements:</p> <p>• Hold current VIT registration</p> <p>• A commitment to Catholic Education</p> <p>• Evidence of further learning to support them in their role.</p> <p>Application Procedures:</p> <p>Applications should include a letter applying for the position, a current resume together with a completed application for employment including contact details of 3 referees.</p> <p>Applications should be forwarded via to the Principal <a href="mailto:<a href='mailto:principal@sjwreservoirnth.catholic.edu.au?subject=Performing%20Arts%20Teacher%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29'>principal@sjwreservoirnth.catholic.edu.au</a>?subject=Performing%20Arts%20Teacher%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29" rel="nofollow"></a><a href="mailto:principal@sjwreservoirnth.catholic.edu.au?subject=Performing%20Arts%20Teacher%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">principal@sjwreservoirnth.catholic.edu.au</a></p>
