<p>Catholic Education NT operates 18 Catholic schools across the Northern Territory — from Early Learning to Secondary — including five colleges, seven primary schools, one flexible learning centre, and five remote schools. <p><strong>The position:</strong></p>
<p>This full-time, permanent position plays a key part in building a skilled and sustainable Aboriginal workforce across our schools, in urban and remote communities. The successful applicant will support and enrich professional learning pathways for Aboriginal staff, helping them gain qualifications and grow into future school leaders. </p>

<p><strong>Key responsibilities: </strong></p>
<p>As an Aboriginal Workforce Pathways Officer, you will</p>
<ul>
<li>Empower and mentor Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators, supporting their professional growth, learning pathways through VET and higher education, and progression into future leadership roles.</li>
<li>Collaborate with school leaders and the Catholic Aboriginal Leadership Team to deliver tailored Workforce Development Plans that strengthen capability across schools.</li>
<li>Coordinate Aboriginal Education Worker (AIEW) networks, fostering collaboration, cultural connection, and ongoing professional development across urban and remote communities.</li>
<li>Lead initiatives that enhance Aboriginal workforce participation, cultural enrichment, and long-term career opportunities within Catholic Education NT.</li>

<p><strong>About you: </strong></p>
<p>We are looking for someone who:</p>
<ul>
<li>Upholds and supports the Catholic ethos in all aspects of their work.</li>
<li>Brings experience in the VET sector, with the ability to design and deliver professional learning that aligns staff skills with formal qualifications and fosters Aboriginal staff development.</li>
<li>Demonstrates strong collaboration skills, working effectively with leaders and contributing to a positive, cohesive team environment.</li>
<li>Is willing to travel overnight to remote Aboriginal Catholic Community Schools.</li>
<li>Holds an Ochre Card, a current NT Driver’s Licence, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain).</li>
</ul>
