<p>St Joseph’s School is centrally located in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. As a single stream school we are able to provide a safe, supportive and happy environment for all children from Kindergarten to Year 6.</p>

<p>The classroom teacher is the major in-school influence on student achievement and plays the key role of facilitating effective learning and teaching. The first function of the classroom teacher is to be an effective member of a collaborative team of colleagues who work to put student learning and wellbeing first.</p>

<p><strong>Essential Criteria </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Accreditation to teach RE in the Wagga Wagga Diocese (or willingness to obtain) and a commitment to the Catholic Faith. </li>
<li>An effective classroom practitioner with a strong knowledge of the curriculum, contemporary pedagogy and the use of digital technologies. </li>
<li>Experience with a Whole School Positive Behaviour Approach that promotes a positive classroom and school environment. </li>
<li>Experience in using data to inform learning and teaching to improve student learning outcomes. </li>
<li>Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with Parish, parents, staff, students and the wider St Joseph’s community. </li>
<li>Working with children check </li>
<li>Current First Aid</li>
<li>NSW NESA Accreditation </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable Criteria</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Recent experience with EMU (Early Mathematical Understanding - Early and Middle years trained). </li>
<li>Recent experience with leading professional learning conversations with a focus on Mathematics. </li>
<li>Recent experience with leading professional learning sessions with a focus on Mathematics.</li>
</ul>
